Davids Well is a holy well in County Kilkenny, Ireland, marked on maps from 1839 and still named there decades later. People may have drawn water for prayer, healing or remembrance, while the pump house added later suggests the well also served ordinary thirst. The name David lives on at the edge of the field, neither forgotten nor fully explained.

Indicated as 'David's Well' in Gothic script on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map and on the 1899-1902 revision, though on the later map a pump house is also indicated at the location of the well. Compiled by: Jean Farrelly Date of upload: 6 October 2021
