What is recorded here

Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Trean, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies the top of a southeast-facing slope on a northwest-southeast ridge, forming a circular grass-covered area roughly thirty-four metres across. A scrub-covered earthen bank defines the perimeter, though cuts and added spoil have damaged parts of the edge. Another rath lies one hundred and ten metres to the west.

Towards the top of the SE-facing slope of a NW-SE ridge. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 34.7m NE-SW; 33.6m NW-SE) defined by a scrub-covered earthen bank (at ENE: Wth 5.3m; int. H 0.75m; ext. H 1.25m) incorporated into a field bank SE-WNW, while the perimeter is damaged by cuts and added spoil elsewhere. There is no visible fosse or identifiable original entrance.
