Gallan is a rectangular standing stone in County Cork, Ireland, aligned northeast to southwest on a south-facing pasture slope. It stands one point five eight metres tall, one point zero two metres wide and zero point eight six metres deep. The stone has watched sheep, weather and forgotten footpaths for centuries. People may have set it there to mark a boundary, honour a dead person or simply watch the sun move across the valley.
