What is recorded here
Terraced four-bay two-storey house, built c.1890, with integral carriage arch. Shopfront inserted to ground floor. Pitched artificial slate roof with brick chimneystacks. Exposed rubble stone walls. Timber sash windows with rendered surrounds. Timber shopfront with recessed double doors and tiled threshold, display window flanked by pilasters with carved console brackets, having fascia and cornice above.
Though the render has been removed from this house, it retains many interesting features and materials, such as the timber sash windows with render surrounds and the timber shopfront. The scale and form of the building makes a positive contribution to the streetscape.
