What is recorded here

The effigy probaly came from the Hackett chapel in the Franciscan friary (TS061-025008-) c. 100m to the NE. It is currently set into a limestone niche at the S end of the SW boundary wall of the Cathedral of St John the Baptist and St Patrick's Rock graveyard (TS061-025035-) which is also a length of the town wall (TS061-025023-). Medieval effigial tomb; 14th–15th century. Likely associated with the Franciscan friary, it represents a rare survival of funerary sculpture from the late medieval period in the region.
