What is recorded here

Indicated is an enclosure in Toberrory, County Roscommon, Ireland. It stands on a knoll on the north-facing slope of Rathcroghan ridge and contains a barrow within an oval boundary measuring thirty-six metres north-south and twenty-three metres east-west. A removed stone wall still appears as a one-metre parch mark during very dry seasons, while the southern edge meets the road bank inside a larger outer enclosure at the knoll base. The site remains a National Monument in state ownership.

On a knoll on the N-facing slope of Rathcroghan ridge. The barrow (RO022-056035-) is within an oval enclosure (int. dims 36m N-S; 23m E-W), which was probably defined by a stone wall that is now removed but visible as a parch mark (Wth 1m) in very dry seasons. This enclosure is truncated at S by the N bank of the road (RO022-056032-), and is within a larger outer enclosure (RO022-056053-) at the base of the knoll.
