On the Down Survey (1655-6) ‘Ballyn’ parish map, a gabled house with a single chimney is depicted in the middle of ‘Tefeighney’ townland. Beside this depiction is written, 'a Thatcht House'. The accompanying terrier describes, 'at Tefeighney a Stone House and a Mill in repaire with some Cabbins'. The location of this house within the townland is unknown.
