Templetown holds a rectilinear field system where fosses cut sharp angles across the land and a ring-ditch sits inside the larger grid. Post-medieval hands likely shaped that space before ploughs softened its edges, yet the geometry still emerges when crop growth reveals hidden depth. The arrangement suggests people who valued clarity, boundary and repeated return more than monumental display.

Aerial photograph (GB90.BZ.15) shows cropmarks of a rectilinear field system defined by fosses; a ring-ditch is integrated within the field system.
