Indicated is a ruined stone ringfort in County Mayo, Ireland. It is a circular drystone enclosure about thirty-one metres across, set on a low ridge above grassland and bog. The outer wall has collapsed into a broad slumped jumble in places, while the inner face still stands. No clear entrance remains, though low tumbled sections at the south and south-east now let a person step inside. The flat interior is crowded by blackthorn and hazel, and later field walls radiate from it like forgotten spokes. It is the kind of place where children once played, adults worked the land, and the old boundary disappeared beneath stone, thorn and time.

In pasture, close to the S boundary of the townland, located on a low E−W ridge in an area of mixed grassland and bog. Circular area (diam. 31m) enclosed by a drystone wall. The wall (Wth c. 3m; int. H 0.9-1.2m; ext. H 1m at W, 1.25m at E) is roughly constructed of field stones and boulders. The internal wall face is relatively intact, but the exterior face has a collapsed in parts to a broad, slumped jumble of stones, with some additions of field clearance stones. There are low tumbled sections of wall at SSE and S, which now allow access to the interior, but no clearly defined entrance gap. At N a large recumbent boulder is set against the exterior wall face. The interior is flat; it was used as children’s burial ground (MA064-002002-), but no graves are now evident. Later field walls radiate from it at N, SE and SW.
