Fairy fort in Tarmon East, County Kerry: a univallate rath, internal diameter 24.4m, the furthest east of the Tarmon East concentration of raths. Much has been levelled, yet a circular area still stands 1m above the surrounding land, with a ghost of bank from north to northwest. It faces out in every direction, as if set there to be seen before it was forgotten.

Internal diameter 24.4m This univallate rath is the furthest E of the Tarmon East concentration of raths. It is situated NE of KE006-008----, and excellent views are afforded in all directions. All that remains of this rath is a circular area raised 1m above the surrounding land. To the N to NW for c 13m a bank 6m wide and .6m high can be distinguished. However, the site has been much levelled and N to E the bank cannot be distinguished in any form. The above description is derived from C. Toal, ‘North Kerry Archaeological Survey’. Dingle.
