Structure

A single piece of brushwood (L 0.84m; diam. 0.035m) exposed along its length in the drain face. It is in moderate condition and has a chisel point. It lies in poorly humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2003. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
