Structure

A radially split plank (L 0.49m; Wth 0.27m; D 0.08m) in the drain face. It is in a good condition and lies in poor to moderately humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and ericaceous remains. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 2003. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
