Structure

Three pieces of brushwood (diam. 0.02-0.052m) in the drain face (Wth 1.42m; D 0.44m). The pieces are widely spaced and one is 0.25m below the others. Wood species include ash and hazel. The wood is located in well-humified Sphagnum peat with Eriophorum and twigs. This site may be related to SMR OF007-083----, located 2.8m to the SE. Recorded by the Irish Archaeological Wetland Unit (University College, Dublin) in 1996. The evidence is not sufficient to warrant its acceptance as the remains of an archaeological monument.
