What is recorded here

One stone lies fallen and one still stands at the western foot of Tooth mountain, separated by three and a half metres in cut-away bog. The erect stone reaches one and a half metres, aligned north-south, while its prostrate partner stretches three and a half metres across the damp earth. Two cairns and a buried wall circle the pair, suggesting people marked this spot long before the bog swallowed the land. Whether they prayed, measured or remembered, the stones still hold the shape of that forgotten purpose.

In cut-away bog at W foot of Tooth mountain. One stone lies prostrate. It measures 3.5m x 1.2m and is 0.5m T. Erect stone, 3.5m to S, is 0.9m L, 0.65m T and 1.5m H and is aligned N-S. To N of complex are remains of pre-bog wall. Cairn (CO102-00403-) 9m to E and second cairn (CO102-00402-) 75m to NW.
