Miskish Mountain drops into rough peat and shallow pasture, where a rectangular stone still stands at the corner of an old field. Packing stones cluster at its base, suggesting people set it rather than leaving it to chance. A hut site waits forty-five metres east, perhaps belonging to someone who tended that boundary or watched the valley through seasons. The stone has survived every attempt to erase it, including the temptation to call it insignificant.

In rough peaty hill pasture, on a terrace on the NE-facing slopes of Miskish Mountain. This standing stone (0.8m x 0.5m; H 1.12m) is rectangular in plan and section and is orientated NE-SW. Packing-stones are visible at the base of the stone, especially on the NW side. The stone has been incorporated into the rounded corner of a field boundary in the NW extremity of a field system (CO114-075004-). There is a hut site (CO114-075002-) is c. 45m to the E.
