Glandonohoe holds a tall stone on the northern slopes of the Nagle Mountains, overlooking the Blackwater valley. It rises two metres one, tapers to a point and leans slightly west. People may have set it there to mark a boundary, honour a loss or watch the valley below. The stone still performs that quiet human job, unchanged since the hands that placed it forgot the reason.
