In improved, very undulating pasture where the land has been drained and ther is evidence of former water channels. Identified during field survey by Alison McQueen and Vera Rahilly (2 February 2009). A farm trackway is depicted on the 2nd (1906) ed. OS 6-inch map c. 10m to the E. A ditch barrow (TS066-190002-) is located c. 14m to the SSE. A circular area (diam. 8m) defined by a fosse (Wth 2m; D 0.15m) N-SW and presumed fosse waterlogged from SW-W-N. A ditch barrow, likely dating to the Early Bronze Age; its presence indicates early ritual or funerary activity in the Shronell area.
