What is recorded here

Peter Danaher marked the standing stone in Sheriffhill during his 1955 survey, capturing a quiet sentinel forty metres west of a ringfort. The stone may have watched people build, bury or pray beside the fort, while forgetting the names of everyone it witnessed. It still stands where human life moved around it, waiting for someone to remember what the place held before it was only a point on a page.
