Settlement cluster in Ballingarrane, Ballingarrane North, Monkstown (Inishlounaght parish) is a settlement cluster in Ballingarrane, Ballingarrane North, Monkstown (Inishlounaght parish), County Tipperary, Ireland. The 1654-6 Civil Survey named the village of Mounkstowne in the parishes of Donaghmore and Kiltegan. In the 17th century, the Monkstown townland extended into Ballingarrane and Ballingarrane North, leaving the exact settlement unlocated across all three areas.
The Civil Survey (1654-6) refers to 'the village of Mounkstowne' in its description of the parishes of Donaghmore and Kiltegan (Simington 1931, vol. 1, 297). In the 17th century Monkstown townland extended into the present townlands of Ballingarrane, Ballingarrane North so the settlement of Monkstown remains unlocated within all three townlands.
