One chamber lost its roof and identity, but the octagonal base and stem still fit together in the graveyard. The matching dowel-holes suggest a font rather than an ordinary marker, while the absent top leaves the ceremony incomplete. Water may have flowed through that missing part, or the whole assembly may have served another purpose entirely.

The octagonal base (dim. 0.5m; H 0.2m) of a font with cordons at top and bottom and dowel-holes to secure the stem is in the graveyard of Scurlockstown parish church (ME037-010----)together with the octagonal stem (dim. 0.33m; H 0.34m) that has a cordon at the waist and matching dowel-holes.
