One granite font stands inside a warm house now, pulled from the rain and grave-soil of Saggart. It belonged to the old monastery of St Mosacra, where baptism may have sounded like singing before the present church rose. The move is not loss but protection: the font keeps its shape, its water-memory and its claim on the town.

A granite font was located in Saggart graveyard (DU021-034003-) and has been moved from the graveyard to the nearby parochial house for safe keeping. The church (DU021-034002-) and graveyard was built on the site of the 7th-century monastery founded by St Mosacra.
