What is recorded here
Detached gable-fronted boathouse, built c.1820. Rusticated stone walls with timber battened gable. Pitched corrugated-iron roof.
Though now in poor condition this boat house forms part of a demesne group with the house, stables and former gate lodge. The boat house retains its original walls, which are executed in a rusticated form. This rustication creates a picturesque mock ruin appearance which is enhanced by the woodland setting.
