What is recorded here

Originally recorded as a compact band (exposed L 3.7m; Wth 2.3m) of small and large brushwood (diam. 0.01-0.15m) located on the field surface and aligned NNW-SSE (Dunne 1999, 8, 99LBW0019A). Excavation revealed that the elements appeared to have been transverses for a roundwood and brushwood togher that originally ran ENE-WSW. A number of posts and pegs held the structure in place (Dunne 2002j, 206). Compiled by: Mary Tunney based on data supplied by Jane Whitaker, Archaeological Development Services. Date of upload: 26 August 2011
