A togher (L 15.3m; Wth 3m; D 0.4m), the S end of which was orientated N-S, while the N end was orientated NW-SE. The S end (L 7.5m; Wth 1m; D 0.4m) consisted of closely and longitudinally laid brushwood (diam. 0.02-0.04m; L 1.4m max.) and roundwood (diam. 0.07-0.16m; L 2.8m max.). Occasional transverse brushwood and roundwood underlay these, as did a moderate amount of irregularly laid brushwood pieces. At its N end the orientation changed and the togher (L c. 1m) consisted of occasional sparsely and irregularly laid brushwood. Directly N of this was a deposit (L 4.5m max.; Wth 3m) of closely and regularly laid roundwood and brushwood orientated NW-SE. Occasional fragmentary brushwood lay scattered to each side of this material. Sparse irregular deposits of fragmentary brushwood lay at the extreme N and S ends of the togher. A total of five pegs, at angles of 90°, were randomly set throughout. The wood was in a poor to moderate condition and many elements were broken and fragmented. Woodworking was evidenced by a large number of metal-cut toolmarks. The species used included willow, birch, alder and ash. A single ash artifact, possibly a sled runner or cart fragment, was recovered. The togher lay c. 1.9m above, and to the S of, two other toghers (LF004-042---- and LF004-045----) (Moore and O’Connor 2009a, 40, EDC 41).
