What is recorded here

Indicated is a small circular island near the centre of a shallow lake in the River Shannon, County Leitrim. It stands about two metres high and measures roughly thirty-two metres across, with cut timber uprights still visible beneath the water at its north-east edge. The island has become overgrown, but its shape and surviving posts suggest people once worked the wood and lived beside the lake.

Located near the centre of a small lake (dims c. 450m N-S; c. 300m E-W) in the River Shannon. This is an overgrown circular island (diam. 32m NW-SE; H 2m) with a series of cut timber uprights (diam. c. 0.15m) at NE visible below the water.
