Megalithic structure in Rinn preserves a lost chamber on the eastern shore of Lough Rinn. Whether it marked a burial, a boundary or a place of sacrifice, its stones once entered human memory. The chamber has vanished from ordinary sight, but the lake, ridge and field still carry the shape of that forgotten act.

Located in scrub on a shelf at the N end of the E shore of Lough Rinn. A structure described as a ‘Giants Grave’ is depicted at the N end of an Avenue only on an estate map (Wogan 1750, 22). The avenue is on a N-S ridge, which at the N end merges into a drumlin. There is no other information, and no antiquity is visible at ground level in the vicinity of a road junction, although a precise location cannot be provided.
