What is recorded here
Indicated is a walled graveyard in County Meath, Ireland, holding the lost church of Rathkenny. Its font survives in the porch of the old Roman Catholic church nearby. The stones may have watched children baptized, weddings danced and funerals walked home under changing skies.
The site of the medieval parish church of Rathkenny (ME012-041----) is within a rectangular graveyard (dims c. 63m WNW-ESE; c. 52m NNE-SSW ) defined by masonry walls. The font from the graveyard is now in the porch of the old Roman Catholic church in Rathkenny (ME018-002----), c. 330m to the SW.
