Under the northeast edge of the Rathfran rath, a dry-stone passage leads into a hidden chamber. The earth above holds a shallow oblong scar, but beneath it human hands built a complete room in darkness. People may have stored treasure, hidden from storms, or simply listened to the quiet pulse of the ground. The stones remain unchanged while the world above forgets the shape of what they protected.

Located in the NE quadrant of a rath (MA015-026001-). Surface evidence of this Man-made underground passage (National Monument No. 389) consists of an oblong depression (7.5m NW-SE; 4.7m NE-SW; D 1.1m at W). According to local information, the Man-made underground passage consists of a passage and a chamber of dry-stone construction. This is a National Monument in State care (No. 389).
