What is recorded here
Situated on a slight natural rise, surrounded by gently undulating land of poor to good pasture, poorly drained land to SW. Ringfort (WM003-060----) 130m to N. A sub-circular area (approx. diam. 34m N-S) defined by an earth and stone bank with the remains of a shallow external fosse only visible from NNW-N-NE-ENE and a low outer bank only visible at NE & SE.. A portion of the bank and the interior have been quarried away at W. A gap in the S (Wth 1.8-5.5m) probably represents the original entrance. The poorly preserved grass covered wall footings of a sub-circular house (WM003-061001-) can be seen in the centre of the interior. A modern field boundary running NNE-SSW intersects perimeter of monument from NE-E-SE.
