What is recorded here

Pluckanes North held a thirty-three metre circular fort on a south-facing slope, visible on maps from 1842 until 1937. Farmers eventually levelled the earthworks for pasture, erasing the ridge that once marked human residence. The land retains no visible trace, yet the repeated survey lines suggest the fort resisted forgetting long after people stopped walking its edge.
