Osberstown holds an Early Christian burial ground where two men slept beneath the soil long before the school rose above them. When excavators broke through in 2004, one middle-aged man emerged stretched face-up with his head pointing west, preserving the orientation of ancient faith. The second man remains harder to picture, buried beside him without a visible position, yet both belonged to the same forgotten town.

In 2004, skeletal remains disturbed during ground works associated with an extension to Sallins National School were investigated (Licence no. 04E1343) and were found to comprise one middle-aged male and a second adult, probably also male Although the latter's burial position was unknown, the former lay in a supine extending position, orientated E-W, with the head to the W, which suggests an Early Christian burial date.
