Indicated Standing Stone is a stone circle in County Meath where twelve stones still surround an older passage tomb. O'Kelly dated the circle after the tomb but before Beaker occupation, and he wondered whether thirty-eight stones once stood nine metres apart. The missing stones may have fallen, been taken or simply stopped being counted. The twelve that remain still mark a wide circle, large enough for people to walk inside and small enough to remember.

Twelve standing stones surround mound of passage-tomb (ME019-045----) (diam. c. 130m). Originally there may have been as many as thirty-eight placed c. 9m apart. Dated later than passage-tomb (ME019-045----) and earlier than Beaker occupation (ME019-045004-) by O'Kelly (1982, 82). Likely dating to the Late Neolithic period (c. 2500–2000 BCE), the Indicated Standing Stone at Newgrange may have functioned as part of a ritual or astronomical alignment related to the passage-tomb complex. Its placement among a ring of stones suggests a ceremonial or calendrical role, possibly linked to solar events such as the winter solstice.
