Fairy fort / earthen ringfort in Newgrange — Report the wrong picture

Fairy forts in Ireland are often earthen rings that look like abandoned human homes but carry a warning in their name. In Newgrange, a fifty-three metre circle with an outer ditch may still hold that boundary, separating ordinary land from a place where the rules change. People may have lived there, loved there, and forgotten the name of the first door. The fairies, according to local story, took the ring back and kept it for themselves.

Circular area defined by scarp (diam. 53m) with outer fosse. Entrance may be at E. Monument visible as a circular cropmark on aerial photograph (AHJ 65; SMR File). Cropmark of ringfort is also visible on Google Eart aerial photograph taken 12 November 2005.
