Attached two-bay two-storey house, c.1850, originally terraced possibly incorporating fabric of earlier house, pre-1840, on site. Refenestrated, c.1925. Pitched slate roof with clay ridge tiles, red brick Running bond chimney stacks having stringcourses under capping, and cast-iron rainwater goods on rendered eaves having iron ties. Rendered walls with iron tie plates to first floor. Square-headed window openings with cut-stone sills, and replacement one-over-one timber sash windows, c.1925. Square-headed door opening in camber-headed recess with two limestone-flagged steps supporting padstones, concealed red brick dressings, and tongue-and-groove timber panelled door. Street fronted with concrete footpath to front.

A small-scale house probably originally intended as one of a group of at least five related houses (remainder in group not included in survey) producing a modest streetscape quality in Michael Street. Although having fallen into a somewhat dilapidated condition, the house continues to present an early aspect with most of the historic fabric surviving in place, thereby upholding the positive impression made on the character of the street scene.
