One of six altars. Not represented on the OS Fair Plan or 6-inch 1st ed. map (1834). The altars were first marked on the OS 6-inch revision of 1848. The OS Revision Name Book contains the following: 'Six old Roman Catholic altars . . . for the celebration of mass. J. Byrne'. (information supplied by P. Walsh 09:03:2008-)
