What is recorded here

Indicated is an earthwork in Moyvannan, County Roscommon, Ireland. It appeared as an oval wooded feature on the 1837 Ordnance Survey map and as a circular hachured feature on the 1915 edition. The site sits on an undulating landscape within private gardens where it no longer shows at ground level. Two raths lie nearby, one 180 metres to the east-northeast and the other 40 metres to the southwest.
Marked as an oval wooded feature (ext. dims c. 40m E-W; c. 30m N-S) on the 1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map and as a circular hachured feature (ext. diam. c. 40-45m) on the 1915 ed. Situated on an undulating landscape, it is not visible at ground level in private gardens. Raths (RO048-043001-; RO048-046----) are c. 180m to the ENE and c. 40m to the SW respectively.
