Moyriesk in County Clare holds a stone ringfort, but local memory calls it a fairy fort, suggesting the boundary between human history and fantasy remains porous. The stones stand as a cashel, yet the fairy name implies they belong to another kind of witness. Human hands may have built the wall, but imagination has reclaimed the meaning, turning a defensive structure into a threshold for the unseen.
