What is recorded here

Cast-iron gate piers with anthemion decoration and double gates, erected c.1825, set in rubble limestone walls.
The quality of detailing used in the casting the gate piers is of artistic interest. The anthemion detailing of the piers contrast with the more simply executed double gates. The gates form part of a group of demesne structures with Moynalty House, outbuildings and former gate lodges.
