Caher Moyna

Fairy fort / stone ringfort

What is recorded here

Caher Moyna is a stone ringfort in County Mayo, Ireland. It stands as a cashel, marking the kind of place people built to keep out rain, danger and forgetting. The stones still hold the shape of that intention, even when the names and dates have thinned into silence.
