Topography and memory both erase. The church stands on a hill in County Offaly, its rough limestone walls facing wide empty distance, while unmarked stones protrude around it like forgotten sentences. It appeared on an old survey map, then vanished from the newer ones, leaving behind a burial ground that no longer belongs to any visible record. What was lost is not the stones but the reason they were placed there.

19th century Church of Ireland church located in centre of graveyard which appears to be post-1700 AD in date (Shaw Rev. 1971, 58).
