What is recorded here

Gallán is a rectangular standing stone in County Cork, Ireland, rising 1.45 metres on a west-facing pasture slope. Its long axis points northeast-southwest, and it remains absent from both the 1842 and 1904 Ordnance Survey maps. The stone may have marked a boundary, a burial, or a local prayer, yet no human name or date survives to confirm its purpose.
