Two stones stand together in County Mayo, waiting for the story that never reached the public archive. They may have marked a boundary, a burial or a moment when people stopped walking and looked up. The absence of a record does not remove them from the world; it returns them to the region, where rain, grass and memory continue shaping what they meant.
