Kilcommon Well, also known as Gort An Chairn, is traditionally associated with Saint Coman, a 7th-century Irish monk and hermit known for his ascetic practices and healing miracles. The well is believed to have curative properties, particularly for skin ailments and general well-being, and was historically visited as part of pilgrimages involving prayer, the collection of water, and the leaving of offerings.
