Embanked enclosure is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Moanvane, County Roscommon, Ireland. It occupies a high, level landscape as a subcircular raised area covered in grass and scrub. An overgrown scarp defines the boundary, while slight bank traces appear at the east and an outer drain cuts through the south. The original entrance remains unrecognized despite these visible earthworks.

On a high, level landscape. Described as having a wide fosse with an entrance (Wth 3m) at E (Gannon 1972). This is a subcircular raised, grass and scrub-covered area (dims 38.3m N-S; 35m E-W) defined by an overgrown scarp (H 1.2-1.6m), with slight traces of a bank (Wth 1m; int. H 0.1m) at E and an outer drain (Wth 1m; D 0.2m) at S. The original entrance is not recognized. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
