What is recorded here

At the crest of a NE-facing slope, towards the E edge of a broad plateau. Circular grass-covered area (diam. 34.1m E-W; 32.7m N-S) defined by an earthen bank (Wth 4.8-5.7m; int. H 0.1-0.5m) and hedge separated by a rounded fosse (Wth of top 5-6.8m; Wth of base 2.5-4m; D 0.8-1.7m) from an outer bank (Wth 2.6-5.7m; H 0.3-0.6m). The inner bank and fosse have been damaged by quarrying NW-ENE and the interior is bisected by a N-S field wall, but there is no evidence of an original entrance (max. ext. dims 59m E-W; 53.6m N-S).
