King's Fort in Kildaree stands thirty-four metres across, with three earth banks and two ditches circling a ridge above a turlough. Its south-east gap faces the living land, while the water below appears and disappears with rain and season. A second ringfort waits one hundred and fifty metres south, as if the ridge held more than one claim.

On a ridge in undulating grassland overlooking a turlough to N. Known locallyas 'The King's Fort', this well-preserved circular rath (D 34m) is defined by three banks and two intervening fosses.
