On a gentle SE-facing slope, c. 150m from the W edge of Coolcam Lough turlough which is largely in Co. Galway. Circular grass and scrub-covered area (diam. 34.7m N-S; 32.6m E-W) defined by a flat-topped earthen bank (Wth of base 3-3.7m; Wth of top 1.7-1.9m; int. H 0.1-0.2m E-S to 0.4-0.5m W-N; ext. H 1.4-1.6m) and hedge with traces of internal facing-stones at N and SW, and an outer fosse (Wth of top 4.8m; Wth of base 3m; D 0.9m) SW-NW. An overgrown depression (dims 12m NNW-SSE; 2m ENE-WSW; D 0.8-1m) stopping 3m short of the bank at N may be a collapsed Man-made underground passage (RO032-059002-), but there is no evidence of side-walls or lintels. Rath (RO032-060----) is c. 60m to the SSW.
