On flat ground in very gently undulating terrain, under grass. Oval enclosure (diam. 74m N-S; 55m E-W) hachured and called 'Grave Yard' on 1st (1840) ed. OS 6-inch map. No visible trace of headstones or upright stones indicating the graveyard (TS077-020003-). Site of church (TS077-020001-) indicated on the latest ed. OS 6-inch map in the E quadrant. According to Cahill (1982 unpublished) 'a farm worker reported that a field adjoining the church site was ploughed for [the] first time in 1973 and a large amount of pottery and iron was turned up'. Defined by a low earthen bank (Wth 3.1m crest, 5.5m base; int. H 0.14m; ext. H 0.35) in the S sector which has been largely reduced to scarp, particularly in SW quadrant. From W-N-E the bank is incorporated in hedgerow, with a post and wire electric fence on the inside. There is a low mound in the interior with a high stone content, possibly building collapse.
