What is recorded here

Gallán is a one-metre conglomerate stub in a Cork pasture, overlooking the Dalua valley and absent from both the 1842 and 1904 survey maps. It has no sacred alignment, no carved edge and no grand story attached. That uncertainty is the point: a small stone can still mark human attention, memory or boundary without becoming a monument.

Not marked on 1842 and 1904 OS 6-inch maps. In pasture, on E-facing slope overlooking Dalua River valley. Stone (H 1.15m; 0.9m x 0.7m) is conglomerate, irregular in plan with no particular orientation. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
