Manganese Mines (Disused) — Report the wrong picture

Manganese mines near Glandore in County Cork stopped pulling black ore from the earth, leaving behind a three-storey engine house and a tall circular stone chimney. The compact building still stands with thick walls and a gabled north face, while a western spoil heap marks the depth of what men removed. Silence has replaced the roar of pumps and hammers, but the preserved structure suggests the site once demanded intense physical labour and relentless mechanical force.
